Ourika Valley

The Ourika Valley is the closest of the three. It climbs into the High Atlas along a river, with Berber villages and mountain scenery, so it is a good choice if you want a shorter drive and fresh air.

Ouzoud Waterfalls

Ouzoud is one of the tallest waterfalls in Africa, surrounded by green hills and olive trees. It is a longer drive than Ourika, but the walk down to the falls is the highlight of the day.

Ait Ben Haddou

Ait Ben Haddou is a UNESCO-listed ksar on the far side of the High Atlas. It is the longest of the three, so it makes for a long day, but it is the one to choose if you love history and film locations.

For a short drive and mountain views, pick Ourika. For waterfalls and walking, pick Ouzoud. For architecture and history, pick Ait Ben Haddou.
